Just like the traditional oriental, the Tibetan oriental is a hand-knotted pile rug made of natural fibers. Originating in Tibet, these rugs are woven using the Senna loop on upright looms. New and innovative textures, and patterns that incorporate silk accents are becoming more available and popular. The designs and colors are consistent with specific trends for many of today's more contemporary or eclectic interiors.
